One could almost call it a season of its own, Harvest fills the prairies with colour. Mingled with autumn's leaves and the ripe fields aglow, the dust filled skies ignite the skies with the sun's dying fire. I find myself amazed, yet again, with the vast palette of nature's luminous display. I've been inspired by the fields and big skies that surround me for most my life. Clouds that graze the skies like wandering ghost-like beasts and colours that dance in summer's warm evening breezes or in winter's dancing Aurora Borealis, igniting the night's with dancing light. There is a spirit in the prairie skies that is impossible to put into word's. Walt Whitman made a great attempt in his poem, Night On The Prairies. [link]
